Heard from a couple people I sent it to personally, but anyone else on the
list with any comments before I widen the test pool?

Hey Cameron,

I just opened issue #1 at github for you. If there's any particular
search strings in the console I'm looking for lemme know k?

And as I stated in the issue, I experienced this before with an earlier
Overbite plugin that I knew wouldn't work on ff60, but wanted to visit
the gutenberg and had the same experience with that old plugin before
completely uninstalling it.

I hope that helps :)

Is it safe to test on amd64?

Is there a version compatible with the mobile programs on iOS & Android that claim to call themselves Firefox too?

Is there any chance we can get an update for the Overbite for Android?
The last release seems to have been made around 2010, 8 years ago.
There's still no support for file downloading, there are issues with
display of inline images (folder, search, file icons) probably related
to a Chrome bug where it requires a specific meta tag for mobile size
rendering (I'm assuming it's using webview).

Mobile devices are a significant part, if not most of, Internet
traffic nowadays. It would be nice to fully experience Gopher on
Android.

Does anyone else have any thoughts?

This does seem like an opportune time for Gopher projects, in light of the
web brutalist turn.
What turn?
You don't think? I keep seeing more projects of this sort lately. Maybe
half-joking, but so. Many people are tired of whizbang and webbloat.

I'll toss my hat in, vowing to add a Gopher gateway service for the BAN.AI Public Access Multics system.

(I do wish we had more competition in Gopher clients for iOS - the only current one I know of is the client by Charles Childers.)

I thought I'd do a search for overbite in the play store. I'm running
android 6.0 on a disposable phone today,interestingly a search
revealed nothing.
I don't think the official version has ever been added to google's "app
store".

You can get the binary from the overbite pages on the web and
gopherspace:

No, I've never done this.

If people want to develop it further, feel free, but I ask that you change
the name so that users don't confuse your work with mine. It's BSD license.

The big reason I haven't done much with it is that it does everything I
need it to and it works fine on my hardware. I'd probably be more motivated
if that weren't the case and/or I didn't have higher priority things. I
scratch the itches I have.
